Welcome to Tone-Deaf, a very, very, small j-lyrics site.

Once in a while, I'll romanize some lyrics to songs I like so that I can sing along (or something like that.) Since some of these lyrics are fairly rare, I figured I might as well stick them up on website. All of these lyrics are in the original Japanese (shift-JIS encoded) and romanji, because many times I'll have to look up a kanji and if I go that far, I might as well just type out the lyrics in Japanese first. First off, before you do anything, please take note of my lyrics disclaimer.

There are also a small number of timed lyrics. These are .ssa (Sub Station Alpha) files that contain the karaoke lyrics for several songs. These were originally created as lyrics for a number of my anime music videos. The .ssa files can be used directly in programs like VirtualDub provided you have installed the SSA plug-in. By the way, the font and colors in the .ssa files are arbitrary, fitting whatever video it was for. Before downloading those files, please read the appropriate disclaimer.

By the way, these lyrics used to be a part of RAM: Random Access Manga, but as they're anime and j-pop/j-rock lyrics, it felt rather inappropriate. Since I wanted to expand RAM into more manga forays, I built this little site for the lyrics.

8/31/03: Added lyrics for The End of the World by angela (Uchuu no Stellvia 2nd Ending theme).

8/9/03: Added lyrics for Asu e no Brilliant Road and Kirei na Yozora by angela (Uchuu no Stellvia opening/ending theme), as well as lyrics for all the way by Mikuni Shimokawa (Kino no Tabi/Kino's Journey opening theme).

7/14/03: Added lyrics for The Beautiful World and Call Back Yesterday by Maeda Ai, from the Kino no Tabi/Kino's Journey ending single and timed lyrics for Brownie the Cat by the Brilliant Green.

This site started as it's own site on 1/31/03.

Updates are expected to be infrequent.
