Tucked into this little corner is a little information about the site, including the usage policy. I first heard about Fun Fun Factory from my friend Steph, who inspired Emi to make a FFF website. After looking at the artwork and hearing the premise of the story (falling cake makes any story interesting!) I decided to try it out myself. I quickly fell in love with the clean artwork and cute storyline, although as the story progressed towards a slightly darker and more mysterious tone, it was just as good. Sometime in fall of 2002 I wanted to make my own Fun Fun page, with the layout based on a menu, and call it "Curse A La Mode" after the dish Sonoo made that cursed all of the star followers. However, the idea sat around and waited until I picked up volume 4 of the manga, which included the final chapters. After reading the ending, the wish to make a page grew again and so, this site was born! I kept the original title and layout idea, so here we are today.
The layout was designed in Adobe Photoshop 6.0 using a couple of filters and masks. Later graphics were partially done in Photoshop 6.0 and 7.0 as I upgraded in the middle of the project. The title font is "Porcelain" and felt both scripty and slightly grungy. The main font should be Garamond or Palatia, or Times New Roman if you don't have those installed. The notes on the side were originally designed using vectors in Illustrator and importing them into Photoshop, where overlaying and compositing took place. This site also uses CSS and CSS-P, meaning it renders strangely in early versions of IE (4-) and Netscape (4.x-) and is meant for resolutions of at least 800x600 with thousands to millions of colors. The HTML was written in notepad by myself, with help from W3C for specs on CSS-P that allowed me to properly position the notes on the site. I did not create nor own Fun Fun Factory, its characters, or any of the artwork. It was created by Watanabe Yoshitomo and is (C) Watanabe Yoshitomo, LaLa, Hana to Yume comics, and Hakensheisha. This is a fan page meant to spread the word about this fun series. All manga images on this site were scanned in from the 4 volumes of the series as well as a random issue of LaLa that I managed to buy for $1, since it was more than a year old when I bought it. If you wish to use the image in the manga galleries, feel free, but please do not simply repost the entire gallery, as it is counterproductive when a simple link to this site is much easier to do. No permission is needed to use the scans in wallpapers, layouts, etc, although a link back to this site (please see the links page for banners) is appreciated. Fanart is (C) whoever drew the image, and may not be reposted on any other site with the artists' permissions. Please contact any artist(s) individually. Wallpapers were created and are a part of DA! Desktop Anime, my anime/manga wallpaper site, and are subject to DA!'s usage policy. For simplicity, here is a simplified version of DA!'s wallpaper uage policy: You can always email me if you have any questions, although a better way to get in contact with me is to leave a message (you do not have to register in order to post) on my Fun Fun Factory Message Board (part of the ming-ling.net and clearlypixelated.com forum.) Fun Fun Factory was created by Yoshitomo Watanabe as is (C) Yoshitomo Watanabe, LaLa, Hana to Yume, and Hakensheisha. This is a fan page created 2003 by Ming-Ling in an attempt to spread the word on what a fun series this is. This site is a part of ming-ling.net. |
