In volume 2, Michiru encounters a young girl who is singing the same song that activates the curses on the star followers. Curious, Michiru talks to the girl and discovers that Yayoi (who happens to be Ikumi's little sister) is singing the theme song to a popular anime series known as Miracle Palette. Yayoi shows Michiru a card with Palette Red, one of the characters, while Michiru tries to overcome her shock with the development. Later, Michiru heads to the video store and discovers that Miracle Palette is a children's anime that has (at least) 13 volumes! After watching the first 4 tapes, Chiya and Michiru still aren't sure how the series relates to the curse. However, they have discovered that in the show, someone named "Prism-sama" is missing, and that Palette, Cashew, (the only characters who are named in the series) and the others are trying to find him/her. (It should be noted that some of the cursed are also named after nuts, such as Walnuts. If this is coincidence or not is up to speculation.) The theme song to Miracle Palette includes the portion that Michiru discovers activates the curse on the star followers. The full song is as follows: colorful CUTE na TOKIMEKI
(Note: words in ALL CAPS are written in katakana; the part in bold is the one that Michiru sings to activate the curse) There are even images from the Miracle Palette opening which renders Michiru and Chiya speechless!
